Daniel Rabaev, a highly respected criminal defense lawyer joins Shipkevich PLLC as a partner. He brings with him significant experience garnered providing premier legal counsel to plaintiffs and defendants in the areas of DUI/DWI, drug charges, felonies, misdemeanors, weapons possession and juvenile crimes at one of  New York City's most esteemed law practices. As a father of three, Daniel's natural ability to combine compassion and professionalism in every case not only makes him a true expert in his field, but also the perfect fit for our team. 

After graduating from Jacob D. Fuchsberg Touro Law School in 2011, Daniel assisted in the prosecution of cases involving child abuse and neglect at the Brooklyn office of NYC Administration for Children’s Services. Staying true to his calling of being a criminal defense lawyer, Daniel entered private practice legal arena during which he represented clients in numerous aspects of criminal proceedings, including probable cause hearings, felony arraignments, plea negotiations, and dispositions. Additionally, Daniel drafted numerous motions and memoranda within the firm’s practice areas of criminal and family law. 

Daniel cut his teeth into the legal domain with an internship at the Brooklyn Bar Association’s Volunteer Lawyers Project where he assisted unrepresented litigants in resolving debt collection lawsuits filed against them by creditors. Daniel also interned for the Honorable Justice Martin Shulman (Administrative Supervising Judge, New York County Supreme Court) where he assisted the judge with drafting decisions and memoranda of law.                    

As part of the Shipkevich team, Daniel is the go-to person for various aspects of federal and state criminal proceedings. Additionally, Daniel handles arraignments, status conferences, plea entries, and administrative hearings.
